A pilot told me “You have pilots that already forgot the landing gear and pilots that will forget the landing gear”.

In my case the landing gear or “wheel” indicator was so loud I wanted to replace it. When working on my dashboard I removed the old wiring harness. Cables, cables and cables. So I had the opportunity to change the buzzer as well.

A buzzer is a simple device that makes a lot of noise when voltage is applied to it. In this case I will combine 2 simple switches. These switches are connected to the gear handle and airbrake handle.

In this picture you can see that if the airbrakes are opened while the gear is closed (wheel up) the buzzer gets activated.
